The BiboLink Smart Hydration System aims to provide a sustainable, tech-driven public water dispenser that offers customizable hydration options with electrolytes and vitamins. It promotes eco-friendly water consumption, reduces single-use plastics, and integrates smart technology for user engagement and data-driven city planning.

The project requirements are:

  • Sustainability – Use eco-friendly materials and promote reusable hydration solutions.
  • Smart Technology – Enable user customization, data tracking, and app integration.
    * Modular & Scalable Design – Ensure easy maintenance, adaptability, and expansion.
    * Energy Efficiency – Utilize renewable energy sources (e.g., solar power) where possible.
    * User Accessibility – Design for intuitive use, including for people with disabilities.
    * Health & Safety Compliance – Meet European regulations for public water dispensing.
    * Durability & Weather Resistance – Ensure functionality in outdoor environments.
    * Business Feasibility – Consider cost-effective production and operational viability.
  1. Comply with the following EU Directives:
    1. Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMCD);
    2. Low Voltage Directive (LVD);
    3. Machinery Directive (MD);
    4. Radio Equipment Directive (RED);
    5. Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (ROHS);
  2. Mandatory adoption and use of the International System of Units (The NIST International Guide for the use of the International System of Units)
  3. Use open source software and technologies.
